BPC-157
A regenerative pentadecapeptide studied for tissue and tendon healing.
Overview
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide (15 amino acids) derived from a protein found in human gastric juice. It is among the most studied "recovery" peptides, investigated for its potential to accelerate healing of tendons, ligaments, muscles, and the gastrointestinal lining. Its name reflects its proposed role as a "body protection compound."

How it works
BPC-157 is believed to promote angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels), modulate the growth hormone pathway, and regulate nitric oxide. It enhances fibroblast and tendon cell activity, supports collagen formation, and protects the gut mucosa by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation.
Common research uses
- Tendon, ligament, and muscle healing
- Gastrointestinal mucosa protection and gut repair
- Anti-inflammatory and analgesic research
- Supporting joint recovery
Considerations
BPC-157 is a research compound with limited human clinical data. Its effects are mostly documented in animal and in-vitro studies. Use only in controlled research settings.
