GHRP-2
A potent ghrelin-mimetic that triggers strong growth hormone pulses.
Overview
GHRP-2 (Pralmorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide growth hormone secretagogue. It stimulates robust release of growth hormone and has been investigated for both diagnostic and therapeutic use. It is one of the more potent GHRPs and produces a strong, rapid GH pulse.
Dosing
Injection
- Starting dose
- 100 mcg
- Common dose
- 100–300 mcg
- Frequency
- 1–3× daily
- Notes
- Commonly stacked with a GHRH analogue such as CJC-1295.
Reported research/reference doses for educational purposes only. Always verify against primary literature and applicable regulations. Not medical advice.
Amino acid sequence
D-Ala-D-2-Nal-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2
How it works
GHRP-2 acts as a ghrelin-mimetic, binding the GHSR-1a receptor to stimulate growth hormone release from the pituitary. It can also antagonize somatostatin. Its action is synergistic with GHRH analogues, so it is commonly stacked with CJC-1295 or Sermorelin.
Common research uses
- Strong growth hormone pulse induction
- Diagnostic GH stimulation testing
- Muscle and recovery research
- Metabolic studies
Considerations
Can transiently elevate cortisol and prolactin in some protocols. Research compound with limited long-term human data. Research use only.
