Hexarelin
A potent growth hormone secretagogue with strong GH pulses.
Overview
Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) that mimics ghrelin to stimulate a strong, rapid release of growth hormone. It is one of the most potent GHRPs, favored in research protocols that want a pronounced GH pulse.
Dosing
Injection
- Starting dose
- 100 mcg
- Common dose
- 100–300 mcg
- Frequency
- 1–3× daily
- Notes
- Potent GH pulse; use sparingly to limit desensitization.
Reported research/reference doses for educational purposes only. Always verify against primary literature and applicable regulations. Not medical advice.
How it works
Hexarelin binds the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a), triggering pituitary GH release. It can also antagonize somatostatin. Its potency is higher than GHRP-2 or GHRP-6, but it may carry a slightly higher risk of desensitization with repeated use.
Common research uses
- Strong growth hormone pulse induction
- Muscle and recovery research
- Bone density studies
- Metabolic and appetite research
Considerations
Can elevate cortisol and prolactin, and may blunt natural GH pulses with frequent use. Research compound with limited long-term human data. Research use only.
