IGF-1 LR3
A long-acting insulin-like growth factor studied for muscle growth.
Overview
IGF-1 LR3 is a modified, long-acting version of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), the hormone that mediates many of growth hormone’s effects. The LR3 modification (a 13-amino-acid extension and arginine substitution) greatly increases its half-life and potency. It is popular in muscle-growth and recovery research.
Dosing
Injection
- Starting dose
- 40 mcg
- Common dose
- 40–80 mcg
- Frequency
- 1× daily (post-workout)
- Notes
- Monitor blood sugar; cycle conservatively.
Reported research/reference doses for educational purposes only. Always verify against primary literature and applicable regulations. Not medical advice.
How it works
IGF-1 LR3 binds the IGF-1 receptor, promoting protein synthesis, cell proliferation, and glucose uptake in muscle tissue. Its long half-life means a single dose provides sustained signaling, supporting muscle growth and repair beyond what native IGF-1 offers.
Common research uses
- Muscle growth and hypertrophy research
- Recovery and tissue repair studies
- Satellite cell activation research
- Body-composition protocols
Considerations
Potent research compound with limited human safety data. It can influence blood sugar and, theoretically, cell proliferation, so dosing and cycling should be conservative. Research use only.
