Sermorelin
A bio-identical GHRH fragment that restores natural GH pulses.
Overview
Sermorelin is the biologically active 29-amino-acid fragment of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It stimulates the pituitary to produce and release endogenous growth hormone, helping restore natural, pulsatile GH secretion. It is FDA-approved in some regions for growth hormone deficiency.
Dosing
Injection
- Starting dose
- 200 mcg
- Common dose

Amino acid sequence
YADAIFTNSYRKVLGQLSARKLLQDIMSR-NH2
How it works
Sermorelin binds to GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotrophs, stimulating both the synthesis and pulsatile release of growth hormone. Because it works by boosting the body's own GH, it produces a more natural profile than direct exogenous GH replacement.
Common research uses
- Restoring natural growth hormone pulses
- Growth hormone deficiency diagnostics
- Lean mass and recovery
- Anti-aging research
Considerations
Short half-life means frequent (often nightly) dosing. Generally well tolerated but requires consistent scheduling. Prescription in some regions, research elsewhere.
